Heb 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
2012 was a blessed year! The Lord allowed us to minister in or travel through 27 states along with Alberta, Nova Scotia and Ontario in Canada. We had some glorious meetings! We saw a precious elderly lady get saved in a nursing home service in Amarillo, Texas. We have also seen a lot of action at our home church, Victory Baptist, in Acworth, Georgia (Donald Lewis, pastor). We've had some saved and one young man acknowledge his call to preach. We just finished a revival there that went an extra day with another person saved!
The WGCR SHARATHON at Pisgah Forest was no exception. We had 22 saved, 5 acknowledge their call to preach (including a father & son); one submit to the mission field and one rededication. We had responses from all 50 states and 23 other countries. We had an average estimated viewing and listening audience each day of over 20,000! We sure praise the Lord for this!
On January 8, our daughter, Anna, found our oldest grandson, Danny Poston, dead in their home. I had some minor surgery on the same day so couldn't get up to Livingston TN until the next day. Most of you know that Betty was a widow when we married and after we arrived, her former brother-in-law also passed away.
We're sure many of you are wondering about our work at the print shop of Rock of Ages Prison Ministries. As stated in an earlier letter, we were forced (financially) to move to Acworth, Georgia but God was in it all the way. We have free housing and a wonderful Church family at Victory Baptist. We've been preaching revival here for about 33 years so they truly are family. However, the Winter months are lean with little income. We found ourselves most of the time without finances to make the 180-mile round trip to the shop and afford housing when we got there. Evangelism also takes up a lot of time. So we have started concentrating more on it and the police ministry. We are so excited about the new 9th printing of the "Officer You Are Appreciated" booklet. The good folks at Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Lansing, Michigan designed this one and printed 7,000. The cost was forty-two cents each but we believe it's worth it if we can just get some law officers to Christ. We have already begun shipping orders. They are free as the Lord provides and you may order as many as you can effectively use. However, please pray the needed funds for this project will come in. Law officers are facing a day as never before, expected to uphold laws contrary to the Bible that our nation was founded upon and protect those that are against our Constitution. They have a difficult job and need to know they’re appreciated.
Someone asked me how many of our meetings I preach in. I really didn't know but took a count. We now preach in over 85% of the meetings and we praise God for this. I am more determined, as an evangelist, to preach REVIVAL SERMONS and not entertain. We've had enough star preachers and singers. It's time for God to speak through His men. I firmly believe that's the only way we can bring America back to Him. We don't need a series of meetings but a revival!
Thanks to all of you who support us with your prayers and financial aid. Support for us, like most missionaries, is down. We would appreciate any help you can give this ministry. So many people are cold toward the Gospel and filled with worldly entertainment and wicked vices. They need the Lord!
Also help us pray as we put more emphasis on the police ministry. Pray for openings and the Lord's leadership in ministering to local police stations, jails, prisons, etc. Also more nursing homes.
We love you,
Jerry & Betty Monday
